Pre-Advanced and Advanced Courses

Core Curriculum and Mentorship

From day one, our residents embark on a structured educational journey, beginning with foundational knowledge through "Basics of Anesthesia" and progressing with tailored online materials like Learnly. Personal faculty mentorship ensures a deep understanding and application of anesthetic principles, fostering early development of good reading habits and foundational knowledge.

Lectures and Presentations

Faculty-led lectures complement our reading program, covering advanced topics and latest practices in anesthesiology. Residents actively contribute through various presentations, including case conferences and departmental lectures, enhancing their learning and teaching skills.

Examination Preparation

Mock Oral Examinations in the CA-3 year replicate the ABA Oral Board format, preparing residents for certification with real-world scenarios and evidence-based solutions. Quality Improvement Conferences and Written Board Reviews further refine their clinical judgment and knowledge application.

Problem-Based Learning and Journal Club

Monthly Problem-Based Learning Conferences and Journal Clubs encourage critical thinking and up-to-date clinical practice. Residents lead discussions on challenging scenarios and recent journal articles, promoting a culture of continuous learning and inquiry.

Grand Rounds and Guest Lectures

Residents present at Grand Rounds annually, sharing insights on clinically relevant topics. Guest lectures from eminent national and international experts offer exposure to global perspectives and cutting-edge developments in anesthesiology.

Hands-On Training

Practical skills are honed through annual SIM Lab Sessions and Clinical Anatomy cadaver studies, providing hands-on experience in a controlled, realistic setting. These sessions emphasize the practical application of theoretical knowledge and procedural skills.
